"Pocket World" represents the fragility of lives, of the world now and how small it has become. Like a pocket map, the photograph of an acrylic mapograph stamp (an old geography teaching tool) on blotting paper, seems to be from a time we can’t attain anymore and the fact that it’s being held delicately by its bottom left corner emphasises the idea of preciousness as if it is an artefact.
"It’s a small artwork full of layers and layers of meanings that almost can’t contain itself. It is like a grain of sand that triggers an emotional chain reaction. "
